Today we can praise God for the wonderful rain that we have received!!! Depending upon where you live in the Sweetwater, OK area you may have received as much as 1.9 inches! Wonderful!!

Hopefully, the fire danger has been eased for now.

Big changes are occurring to the landscape of the town of Sweetwater in its center. The south Gin yard is being cleared and leveled for a reported dozer equipment company. The old building just across from the church and south of the Dobson building has been leveled and buried. No reports so far as to what will be there.

We are still in the midst of a drought in Sweetwater and across much of the state. So far we have escaped the terribly destructive fires that some in our state have experienced. Our fire department has been busy and we can be thankful for all of our firefighters and their dedication.
